Candle Care:
Before lighting your candle, make sure to trim the wick to at least 1/4 inch. This will help to prevent uneven burning, dripping, and flaring. It's important to avoid any drafts, vents, or air currents to ensure the candle burns evenly and without sooting or excessive dripping. When you light the candle, allow it to burn for 2-3 hours at a time. This will help to ensure an even burn and prevent tunneling. Remember to always trim the wick before each burn to avoid any potential safety hazards.

Do I really need to trim the wick of my candles?

Yes, trimming the wick of your candles is essential for several reasons:

Ensures a Cleaner Burn
Trimming the wick to about 1/4 inch before each use helps to prevent excessive soot and smoke. This results in a cleaner burn, reducing the amount of black residue that can accumulate on the candle container and nearby surfaces.

Enhances Safety
A properly trimmed wick reduces the risk of the flame becoming too large, which can lead to uneven burning and potentially hazardous situations. A smaller flame is more manageable and safer for indoor use.

Prolongs Candle Life
Keeping the wick trimmed helps to control the size of the flame, allowing the candle to burn more slowly and evenly. This extends the overall life of your candle, giving you more hours of enjoyment.

Improves Scent Throw
A well-maintained wick ensures that the candle burns at the optimal temperature, enhancing the release of fragrance into the room. This allows you to fully experience the intended scent profile of the candle.

Prevents Wick Debris
Trimming the wick prevents the buildup of carbon deposits, also known as "mushrooming." These deposits can fall into the wax pool, causing discoloration and affecting the candle's performance.

How to Trim Your Candle Wick:

Use a wick trimmer or a pair of scissors to cut the wick to about 1/4 inch before each lighting.

Make sure the candle is at room temperature and the wax is solid before trimming.

Dispose of the trimmed wick remnants properly to avoid any fire hazards.

By following these simple steps, you can ensure that your candle burns safely, efficiently, and beautifully every time.
